The royal welsh regiments New colours ceremony
In April we were contacted by Lieutenant Colonel Chris Kilmister , Regimental Secretary,
RHQ The Royal Welsh.
asking us to be part of the royal Welsh new colours ceremony, being presented to them by the queen.
we were honoured to be asked.
we met up at Cardiff castle on VE Day anniversary in May to finalise plans, for the ceremony in June
we were there to greet guests and provide a timeline of the Welsh soldier in the players tunnel, the regiment fed and watered us.

"As chairman of the Welsh tommies reenactment group I Michael stoneman am incredibly proud of all members of the group and how we conducted ourselves at this historic event,
Especially Rhys Barrow for talking to her majesty the queen on our behalf, she told him to "keep up the good work"
Brigadier Philip Napier told us we looked great in the players tunnel as a timeline of the Welsh soldier for the queens exit, and thanked us for what we do.
We were told by so many serving soldiers and veterans how thankful they are that we keep the regiments history alive
We were all truly honoured that the regiment recognises us and invited us to this historical event"

I received and email from Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Chris KILMISTER, Regimental Secretary,
RHQ The Royal Welsh
Asking if I could pop into RHQ maindy barracks,
On our way to a show, myself and Allan Winslade popped along to see him,
We were then presented with this amazing plaque, with a medal in it that soldiers who took part in the colours ceremony received!
What an absolute honour it was to receive this and be recognised by the regiment that we portray
